On November 7, a synchronous online lecture with Kostanay State University named after A. Baitursynov took place in the Omsk State Agrarian University within the framework of the international project of the European Union ERASMUS + 561969-EPP-1-2015-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP "Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development - SARUD.
The lesson was attended by students of the master program "Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development" in the framework of training areas 35.04.04 Agronomy and 38.04.01 - Economics.
From Kostanay State University, the lecture was given by Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology, Ph.D., Gulmira Dusembayevna Zharlygasova The topic of the lecture was “Introduction to the sustainable development of rural areas: the most important concepts and theoretical foundations”.
The material is aimed at developing students' understanding of the principles of creating comfortable living conditions in rural areas, mechanisms of investment activity stimulation in the agro-industrial complex by creating favorable infrastructural conditions in rural areas, organizing ways to promote the creation of high-tech rural jobs and methods of creating a positive attitude towards rural areas and rural lifestyle.
From Omsk State Agrarian University, the lecture “Agrotourism as an element of sustainable development of rural territories” was given by Yury Ivanovich Novikov, assistant professor of the department of economics, accounting and financial control. Particular attention was paid to assessing the prospects and directions of agrotourism development as an element of sustainable development of rural areas and analysis of the potential for the development of agro-tourism.
At the end of the synchronous online lecture, a discussion on the material was created. Then, the regional coordinator of the project from the Russian Federation, Professor Nina Grigorievna Kazydub gave a general review of the work carried out under the international project of the European Union ERASMUS + 561969-EPP-1-2015-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP "Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development - SARUD". She mentioned further tasks and planned events during the implementation of the Master program "Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development" within the areas of training 35.04.04 Agronomy and 38.04.01 - Economics in Omsk State Agrarian University.

During the discussion of the identified tasks and plans for the implementation of Master programs the teaching staff on both sides made a number of decisions to hold new synchronous online lectures on the Master program “Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development” in the areas of training 35.04.04 Agronomy and 38.04 .01 Economics as well as internships for students in partner universities.
