First coordination meetings in Russia and Kazakhstan

The first coordination meeting on national level took place in Omsk on the 25-26th of February. Four local universities (Omsk State Agrarian University, Michurinsk State Agrarian University, Buryat State Academy of Agriculture and Novosibirsk State Agrarian University), elaborating the master program, in cooperation with the regional governmental institutions worked further on the course outline and clarified open issues and possible challenges, which are faced in the process of the program implementation.

Among the topics discussed during the meeting:

  • SARUD Master program curricula;
  • project`s activities;
  • analysis of existing study program examples;
  • educational standards and development in Russia;
  • workshop on project management, partnership agreement, contractual and financial rules;
  • workshop on situation analysis and specification of job requirements on regional level;
  • future plans.

The education specialists, elaborating the master program on national level, work in the leading agrarian universities; besides the mentioned above, that is also Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. The University of Hohenheim was represented by the project coordinator Prof. Dr. Martin Dieterich (online-conference) and the project manager Anna Voitenko. Doc. PhDr. Ph.D. Michal Lostak from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague joined the session also via online-conference.

Among other participants there were specialists from the governmental institutions and designated organisations, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Omsk Region.

Three local universities (S.Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical University, A.Baitursynov Kostanay State University and Sh.Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University), elaborating the master program, in cooperation with the regional governmental institutions worked further on the course outline and clarified open issues and possible challenges, which are faced in the process of the program implementation.
